Pros
The expressed common purpose of "releasing children from poverty in Jesus' name" is easy to grasp but is not evident at our headquarters. The staff are focused on the purpose and endure the suffering of the leadership culture. The real miracle is that the programs continue to meet the ministry goals, despite the broken culture and systems.
Cons
The CEO down to the VP level need to recognize their own capabilities and limitations and gracefully transition out, for the sake of the children and ministry. I have first-hand knowledge of accounting wrongdoings and examples of the executive team brushing aside corruption. HR is very broken and has posed as a support to whistle-blowers, while working with the corrupt managers to ensure the termination of the reporting employees. Loyal employees need outside legal support before coming forward. This organization is a group of lawsuits in the making! This is a classic "restart" situation where all of the executives need to resign or retire in order for the organization to thrive and even have the hope of achieving the "2020 Vision". The Board of Directors is either in the dark or a willing party to all that is broken. Any external review would focus on the out-of-control spending associated with the programs to replace our core systems. The consulting groups are actually running our organization, requiring the termination of current and future staff. Obviously, we are concerned about the stewardship metrics and operational expenses as measured by external groups.
