Pros

Flexible schedule; paid training; exposure to many environments/technologies; friendly customers; helpful/friendly tech support team; great parts logistics; Worldwide company so you can probably relocate (fairly) easy

Cons

mediocre pay; no raises; when I started with the company, overtime was plentiful. Now the company wants to minimize OT but expects you still do same amount of work. Company is now moving work to 3rd party (freelancers) and taking money out of its field techs pockets. Dead end job.

Pros

Management is very nice, contract client was good

Cons

low pay, benefits expensive and not very good. PTO was low. Benefits included paid holidays but my contract was at a university and a lot of holidays did not count, including Juneteenth and Martin Luther King day. Also had to use PTO during winter break, which ate up most of my PTO every year.
