Pros

They offer a pretty fair reimbursement package of 5k/year for school. Not sure about certs, but they do offer money for those as well and pay for the exam voucher. Work-life flexibility is pretty good and they are very understanding if you have doctor appointments, night classes you need to leave a little early for and generally speaking you do not have to give crazy advanced notice for time off.

Cons

Money, money and money. I have worked with some guys at our client company via CompuCom and you just don't get raises. I have been one of the top performers at my job for the last 2 years. I asked for a raise at the end of year 1, didn't get it. I asked again periodically in year 2, didn't get it. After year 2, we were finally promised raises this year and they failed to deliver because Office Depot / CompuCom was under-performing. The moment I gave my two weeks, a raise was suddenly possible at the exact same date I would start my new job elsewhere. Give me a break. I did my research on what Tier 2 Help Desk makes, and the raise requests were well-within ranges of what was reasonable to ask for. Didn't get it. - other cons = big corporation client politics. - depending on what client you work at via CompuCom, advancement opportunities are relatively limited. you have to wait a long while at CompuCom's biggest clients to get an employee interview / opportunity at that client. However, in the meantime there are other promotions available in the contractor realm at any of their clients. Yet, you may be waiting 2-3 years to get into one of those and THEN you get a raise. You only get a raise by getting promoted at a contractor level at that client site.

Pros

Coworkers, exposure to different areas of IT, decent pay

Cons

No support from upper management, working with skeleton crews on multiple projects at once, 1-on-1s felt like a waste of time, annual raises were not competitive
