Pros

Able to work a few days at home

Cons

Unprofessional management, verbal abuse, a lot of unpaid overtime required, no growth opportunities, expected to work during vacation time and holidays, difficult to get your vacation time, they fire a lot of people in cycles. It's a family run business and they do whatever they want to do to their employees. There is no encouragement, nor support from management. This is not a pleasant place to work and not a long term employment position. I discourage anyone from applying, there are much better companies to work for.

Dear Former Event Services Manager, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I appreciate it. I'm sorry things didn't work out for you at CSI however, you comments are simply untrue. The management team, from the executive team to the middle mangers, is very professional and dedicated to supporting the entire team and helping them grow. Almost 100% of all managers have been promoted from within the organization which supports the fact that growth opportunities are plentiful and available to everyone. There is daily encouragement and support from the entire management staff. It happens verbally, in writing, through training, through development and through team building. It's a major part of our corporate philosophy and it applies to everyone. Everyone in the company has vacation time and uses it. Like all companies, there's a procedure in place and it's not difficult to schedule and everyone does it. No one is expected to work during vacations and holidays. However, like all clients of any business, our clients do have an expectation that we'll deliver the services that were promised to them. Therefore, we have back-up procedures in place to complete work when someone is out for any reason. This has been the case for the entire 39 years we've been in business. This business is run by an executive management team. The team does include three family members but three people cannot run a business of this size. It requires a team and the decisions are made by that team in conjunction with the middle managers. Perhaps there are business where management can "do whatever they want to their employees" but this isn't one them. Our team members are the most important asset we have and the number one factor in our success. Our philosophy of putting them first will never change. Best Regards, Chris Williams President
