Pros

Working within a small specialist cabling division within the wider company, although we are spread wide across the UK, we're encouraged to take on plenty of responsibility, but also, all pull together and, where necessary, help and support each other. The opportunities available for UK and/or international working are abound and projects are managed globally using a variety of proven partners. There's generally a good camaraderie within the Operations team. There's also opportunity to improve your role or seek promotions. Plenty of training opportunities. Salary is approx industry norm for position.

Cons

Due to physical spread of the team, it is a challenge to meet everyone regularly for team catch ups, which are mostly undertaken remotely. Because of this, one can feel mentally remote from 'the team'. It feels like there's a trust issue between the Line of Business and the ring fenced Operations team. The workforce is mainly male and aging and youth and, diversity is required. I do not believe there are any underling restrictive reasons for this, but more diversity is required for the health and longevity of the team.

Pros

Great location, great co workers, great leadership

Cons

Can be a bit too sales focused and forget that other departments are just as important. Lots of perks for sales that are not availbale to anyone else in the company

Pros

Pay and job title are crazy nice

Cons

This place is less data center more fulfillment center style. Walk in and are told to just copy that rack. No training. Then if you make a mistake they get mad even though nothing was explained.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and for highlighting both the positives and the areas where we can improve. We’re pleased to hear that you value the pay and job title, but it’s disappointing to read that your experience with training and support has not met expectations. Starting in a new environment without clear guidance can be challenging, particularly in a technical role where structure and consistency are important. Your comments around the need for more effective onboarding, clearer instruction, and better support are important. We recognise that learning by observation alone is not sufficient for everyone, and creating an environment where people feel confident and set up for success is a key part of being a place where people matter. We also take seriously your point about how mistakes are handled. A supportive culture should ensure that people are guided constructively, especially while they are still learning. Thank you again for your honest feedback, which helps us continue improving the experience we provide
