We’re pleased to hear that you value the pay and job title, but it’s disappointing to read that your experience with training and support has not met expectations. Starting in a new environment without clear guidance can be challenging, particularly in a technical role where structure and consistency are important.
Your comments around the need for more effective onboarding, clearer instruction, and better support are important. We recognise that learning by observation alone is not sufficient for everyone, and creating an environment where people feel confident and set up for success is a key part of being a place where people matter.
We also take seriously your point about how mistakes are handled. A supportive culture should ensure that people are guided constructively, especially while they are still learning.
