Pros
I can't think of any for this office.
Cons
You could compare the MK2 office to an episode of Shameless due to the incompetent and kid like behaviour of a lot of the management team. Nepotism is a must if you are to succeed and climb the ranks within this office. Staff members are treated like slaves with senior management spending most of their days planning HR packs to sack employees for being 1second late... When I say 1 second it's literally that. 1 second counts as a warning and if you get 4 occurrences within a month 4 seconds, you will be treated as though you committed a crime. You actually pay senior managers and above 50+ k to spend their days doing this??? Working across their latest DTP package to transition IT services from one OS environment to another, they deploy teams who have no collaboration between each other, packages and policies will be formulated in a rush with scope of not really adequately testing the environment. Once the failing transition is in place it's left to all the support teams to deal with as they are quick to remove the consultants and architects. A little bit more about the Milton Keynes office (MK2), as previously mentioned the management team are very inexperienced which unfortunately filters all the way down the chain from Senior Management to Team Leaders. For the Service Desk teams, unfortunately this sort of management at Team Leader level can be expected to some extent but with the sort of team leaders Computacenter (MK2) employ, please expect to be worked hard with very little empathy or respect. Their Operation / Service managers will have mostly come up the ranks moulded out of this weird ideology and working practice that takes place in this office. So unfortunately it doesn’t look like anything will change any time soon. New management members that come in from external companies tend to leave quite swiftly once they are exposed to the true MK2 management approach. There’s a lot more to say but it truly is not worth it.
