Pros

I worked for CTG at IBM for seven years. Overall, I hold a good opinion of this company. During this time I worked entirely from home. They did not micromanage me, which I definitely appreciated. It was also a very stable contract. As long as I did my work, I could feel certain my contract would be renewed.

Cons

Communication was lacking at times. While I was always pretty sure my contract would be renewed, I was never told that it actually was renewed. Also, in my entire time working there, I think I only received one small raise. Again, I was not told about it. The benefits package leaves much to be desired.

CTG is part of Cegeka, which is a big European company that offers depth in the IT arena. If you want to learn more about how an IT department should be run, they have a lot of playbooks you can use.

Cons

Its a big company and hard to find things or people who can help you easily.

Pros

CTG has a history of real loyalty among coworkers, and people who have been there for decades, who are really the backbone of the company.

Cons

Since the company was acquired there have been a lot of layoffs, meaning much higher workloads with no new benefits and fewer morale-improving incentives.
