Pros

Benefits are excellent and employees stay many years. Can have a good work/life balance. Good people. Often opportunities to move around. Some excellent managers. Try to enforce an ethical culture.

Cons

Bureaucratic, union environment with strong sense of entitlement among many employees. If your boss doesn't like you, can make it difficult to move laterally or get a promotion, regardless of review ratings. Poor performers with connections or other qualities are not demoted, and there are many supervisors/managers who should not be in their positions. Mediocre performance is rewarded if you know how to manage up.

Pros

- wfh - equipment provided - 2 raises a year

Cons

- very cliquey - OT is only 2 additional hours a day. nothing more - management prioritizes metrics over employees’ wellbeing - zero downtime in between calls. constantly back to back from beginning to end of shift - other depts do not hold their weight, which results in CSR’s having to do twice the work. can/will lead to burnout - union uwua local 1-2 does not advocate for members like they should. they are very cozy with con ed management. will be lackadaisical with member requests
