Pros

Good job security If working for the union you never have to take the work home with you Steady salary increase Good overtime pay. Plenty of job openings and growth opportunities within the company

Cons

Getting overtime requires a lot of seniority. Takes a long time to move up. Call center environment is very fast paced and your actions are closely monitored. Certain policies in place impact your work performance. Stifling bureaucracy. Schedule will be changed frequently if you are part time.

Cons

Limited ownership in some projects due to internship scope, but still a valuable learning experience overall.

Pros

- wfh - equipment provided - 2 raises a year

Cons

- very cliquey - OT is only 2 additional hours a day. nothing more - management prioritizes metrics over employees’ wellbeing - zero downtime in between calls. constantly back to back from beginning to end of shift - other depts do not hold their weight, which results in CSR’s having to do twice the work. can/will lead to burnout - union uwua local 1-2 does not advocate for members like they should. they are very cozy with con ed management. will be lackadaisical with member requests
