Pros

Nice patients. Good cases. Nice medical co-slaves.

Cons

If you are salaried, the corporation fully intends for you to do the work of 2 people and you will not be paid for it. Get ready for at least 58 hour weeks paid at 40 hours if you are a doc. They lie about how much you will be working. The "Electronic Health Record" is electronic in the sense that the word processor is plugged into an electrical socket. The clinical staff works doubly hard to pay the exorbitant salaries of the non financial producers in Sales and Operations. Sales and Operations are purely lazy dead weight for the medical center clinicians to shoulder.

Pros

The pay is higher than most employers offer for similar positions. The benefits like PTO & sick time are higher (with increased seniority).

Cons

No paid holidays. The culture is not as warm & "family-like" as it has been in the past. If you do not fit a specific "mold" for leadership they will not hire or promote you despite your vast knowledge & added value to the team.
