Pros

Work from home & they provide the computer

Cons

Benefits aren’t as good as a lot of other companies, shift bidding, even though advisors work in multiple times zones, people on the east coast may be forced to work until 11:30pm when that should be an option or reserved time slots the west coast. Poor communication from management, one supervisor will tell you one thing while being told something else from a different supervisor, all supervisors give fake cheery sounding pep talks if you talk about quitting, vent frustration, anything negative. They don’t sound sincere & it’s the same speech all the time. They say all negative surveys customers submit are avoidable even if their survey was intended for a different advisor but you were the one that got it, they act like it’s your fault even though they clearly say they’re mad at a different person, beyond unorganized, double standards with what’s allowed, they say you can move up but you can’t have a life, you can only move up if you’re willing to be available 24/7 & the pay does not compensate for the verbal abuse given by customers. It’s not worth working here when there are soooo many other companies that treat their employees better, like people instead of numbers & have better benefits like paid maternity leave & pick up the tab for your internet bill. They brag about getting a billion dollar bonus from Apple if they have good statistics but the employees don’t get any kind of bonus or compensation for their hard work just a measly $13-14.75. Another con is when you go from tier I to tier II & find out you don’t like it, you’re not allowed back to tier I, they tell you to quit & go through the hiring process again. There’s CONSTANTLY problems with the programs they use & their IT department is better at making things worse than fixing anything. If you have to call in because of computer issues you talk to someone that barely speaks English, has you do the same troubleshooting steps numerous times & sends you on your way with a bandaids fix, if that. Absolutely no work/home life balance! So what if you have kids & they have a dr appointment, a game, any sort of emergency. You’re treated as if having children is unacceptable, meanwhile supervisors have their kids running wild in the background & that’s supposed to be ok?!? This company is full of double standards & hypocrites!

Pros

The only real advantage is the ability to work from home. My trainers were knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely tried to help despite the limitations of the training program.

Cons

The training is far too rushed for the complexity of the job. The trainers themselves are not the problem—they did their best—but two weeks of training followed by one week of nesting is simply not enough. You're expected to learn numerous systems, document calls accurately, understand complex fraud procedures, and handle back-to-back calls from frustrated or angry customers with very little hands-on practice. There wasn't enough call shadowing or realistic mock calls to build confidence before taking live calls. The learning curve is overwhelming, and the high turnover rate reflects that. On top of that, the pay does not match the stress, workload, or expectations of the position.
