Pros

I can’t think of any…there is a reason experienced employees call it CANT-do-it.

Cons

I left everyday for the past 6-7 years trying to figure out if I was being overly sensitive and reactionary. My 9.5 years of service was capped off by a call informing me of being laid off which I had been led to believe was a meeting to discuss a promotion. This company as an employer is like being in a relationship with an abusive spouse. You learn to exist in a gaslit state all the time. Nothing unethical, cruel, or stupid management does is ever a surprise…it is not an uncommon experience to hear Conduent/Xerox/ACS bashing. It is so common and justified I’m confused by others’ positive reviews. Did we work for the same BPO? As far as I’m aware I’ve never run across anyone who actually likes working for Conduent and feels anywhere near fairly compensated. Be ready in professional roles you will never get a raise, in fact the company does everything it can to deter you from even talking about this…threatening employees who have the audacity to compare notes on Compensation. I wish they would break the law in writing, I would have owned Conduent long ago, they have a tendency to break employment laws both State and Federal. Oh and BTW after 9.5 years of service, I had 184 hours of PTO that just evaporated, and got 4 weeks severance. I have hated this company for years, always working toward maybe things will change and then all my efforts would go to something. But yeah that never happened. It’s ironic really, ACS jokes among long tenured associates along the lines of Conduent/Xerox whatever you wanna call it in the end they will always be ACS (Always Changing *Stuff*. They just never manage to actually change for the better.

Pros

The only real advantage is the ability to work from home. My trainers were knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely tried to help despite the limitations of the training program.

Cons

The training is far too rushed for the complexity of the job. The trainers themselves are not the problem—they did their best—but two weeks of training followed by one week of nesting is simply not enough. You're expected to learn numerous systems, document calls accurately, understand complex fraud procedures, and handle back-to-back calls from frustrated or angry customers with very little hands-on practice. There wasn't enough call shadowing or realistic mock calls to build confidence before taking live calls. The learning curve is overwhelming, and the high turnover rate reflects that. On top of that, the pay does not match the stress, workload, or expectations of the position.
