Pros
I worked with some of the most intelligent and innovative people that eventually moved on to leadership roles within the system. Endless opportunities for advancement if you're up for the challenge. I always felt like I was informed and involved with whatever was going on. I felt appreciated, which was motivating. I was able to get the information I needed to do my job with ease through the reporting applications. Continuity across service lines made pulling data easier, allowing for more time to analyze. I was given opportunities to try new things outside of my scope which offered exposure to different aspects of financial planning.
Cons
It was challenging to support the entire system with a small team. Definitely worked long hours, but it wasn't so bad when you're working alongside others who are truly passionate about their work and were always willing to help you. I felt like my bosses invested in teaching me everything they knew so I could be successful.
