Base hourly rate is terrible. You have to ask for raises and if they don't want to give you one they throw profit share check in your face. I went 3 years without a hourly rate raise. They put emphasis on profit sharing but it takes several years to build up to a decent profit share check. Profit share is taxed as a bonus and is not guaranteed so trying to finance things based on your income is difficult.
