Pros

Highest paying direct care in local area. Most employees in management are easy to get along with. They share the government rescue bonuses for the healthcare industry with their employees. I'm told it's optional.

Cons

Payroll department is the least competent of any employers payroll department I've been paid by. Approximately 15% of my paychecks have been issued incorrectly and they consider it an inconvenience to correct their own mistake. When they do correct it, they always want to pay out the shortage on the next pay period. This is in violation of both federal and Arizona State labor laws. All employees are to be paid in full all wages owed for that period on the regular scheduled payday. Arizona law says that anything less than an act of God or circumstance beyond control that shuts down banking, i.e. Hurricane Katrina, 9/11/2001 Twin Towers, an act of war et al, and the employer is liable and must pay the employee double the amount of they fail to correct it and have the shorted pay in the employees hands before the end of that day. If they go beyond that, the employee has the right and option of filing for triple the shortage in remuneration. Sometimes the trade off between consistent pay on time every pay period, and higher pay than the other companies in the are, really feels not to be worth it. But, all in all, if it doesn't incur any late fees or electricity shut-offs at home, the bonuses they share makes it worth the headache. Most of the times. Lol!

Hello, thank you for your detailed feedback and for your ongoing commitment over the past several years. We're glad to hear you value the competitive pay and support from our local team. We recognize how important timely and accurate pay is, and we're sorry to hear you've experienced frustration. It's important to note that caregivers are typically paid through state and federal programs, which can occasionally impact payment timing. While Consumer Direct Care Network appears on your pay stub, any delays or discrepancies are often related to the government funding source, not our internal payroll process. That said, we know how stressful pay issues can be and take concerns seriously. We continue to advocate for process improvements and better communication to support caregivers like you. Your input will be shared with our leadership and operations teams.

Pros

Not many benefits to working for this company other than the fact that you don't have to work for an agency so you have more control over who your clients are. It is essentially a barely functioning payroll company for the government.

Cons

Getting hired on takes way longer than their willing to tell you. You have to stay constantly on top of them to get the process done. To get any process done really. Their admin team is much MUCH too small for the size of this company. So the second something needs to be approved by them, expect 3-4 weeks of waiting. Also expect them to not tell you that. Additionally, when you get linked with a new client. They will tell you that that's going to take a week or so. In all the years I've worked here I've never had them do it sooner than 4 weeks. And thats with me calling to check about it all the time. They also don't pay nearly enough for the work.
