Pros
COOK puts patients first, so you feel good about what your doing on a daily basis. The employement is stable since COOK has never had any layoffs. Employees can move from across departments and facilities without losing any tenure. The pay is adequate for the area and fairly good for those who have been with the company for many years.
Cons
The talent development and promotion system is largely undefined. Pay for degree requiring positions are well below average (engineers, accountants, project managers, product managers, ect.). Many college grads use COOK as a stepping stone to better paying positions. It takes 30yrs for hourly employees to reach top pay.
