Pros
Friendly management, unlimited overtime, work on virtually all types of HVAC/R equipment
Cons
They lost a lot of contracts in the last year, so work completely vanished once winter rolled around. Before we had a huge PM season in the winter/spring, and if there was ever a slow day, we could make up hours by shadowing someone or doubling up, but they took away our ability to do that. Lost out on an entire month's worth of hours/pay over the last 5 months, whereas last year during the slower seasons I rarely had a day off. The corporation has changed leadership a LOT, which is never a good sign. Management also started scrutinizing our driving habits through GPS tracking, as well as making us feel bad about not being "proactive" enough in terms of making sure there's no calls on the board (as if that isn't literally dispatch's job: to dispatch us work). Overall the last 6 months has felt like a huge slap in the face and I'm bleeding money. Maybe it'll get better, maybe it won't, but the feeling is very sour right now.
