Pros

Flexible work hours are nice.

Lack of communication between departments. Lack of any kind of follow-through or the ability to follow up with external departments. Lack of following the own corporate written policy. Favoritism towards specific political views. Lack of professionalism Unless you belong to a department that makes a profit the other managers do not look at you as an important teammate in the company and expect to do what they say when they are not over you. This is a hostile enviroment as well.I have been yelled at from regular employees and managers when something didn't go there way; when I was just following policy. I have had superviors in departments get mad when they failed to communicate their needs and came to me and blamed me for their lack of communication. When challanging managers do not see issues from both sides and will automatically take the side of their employee and when the employee is clearly in the wrong or a liar. In retaliation that employee will try and throw you under the bus. This Company maybe good at what they do for their external customer but they DO NOT care about their employees. If they didn't have so many managers and they had leaders the enviroment would be much more pleasant. It wouldn't be perfect but it would be a start. I highly doubt that anyone from HR or management will read this but if they do I hope this is an eye opener to try and make changes. Biggest one is STOP having political bias. If you are going to call someone out for something per Corporate policy you need to standarized across the board. This is shown as favortism and unless you are alighned with that political view you will be punished or talked to. Learn to follow your own written policy.

Pros

Excellent pay structure to offset poor benefits and high healthcare costs. There is no Short Term Disability offered.

Cons

Management frequently lies to clients and employees about adjust case loads. Adjusted frequently experience case loads of 150 to 200 cases per desk. Management lies to clients regarding adjuster turnover and account managers are expected to lie as well. Alcohol is a big part of Corvel culture. During my first week of employment I was expected to drink with my regional VP and a client. During the conversation the client became extremely intoxicated and began mocking me. The VP looked on and said, none of this matters. This is just some hazing. Managers do not take the time to develop their cohorts. They bully people into working harder and taking on more than they can physically manage. When you make a mistake the response is not, let’s learn from this. The response is, do it again and you’re fired. This is common Corvel culture. This is very much a classic corporate greed structure that pushes people to their breaking points, fires them, and funds someone else to plug the hole.
