Pros
Amazing friendships and mentors from this job. I have had the most opportunities for professional growth in any company I have worked for (and this isn't my first job, or first management job, or first corporate structure job) and love who I get to work with every day. The impact we have on people's lives is ridiculous. It's cool to create connections with students and instructors and get to be a part of transformation through yoga. Lots of opportunity to take on Leadership development of others, which is something I place a high value on. There is a lot of space to be able to take initiative and succeed in what you do, within that freedom comes your own ability to not do well if you need a lot of direction though.
Cons
What region you are in, and who you report to, makes or breaks your experience. I have worked in several different parts of the company and while I now have a great fit, I had some not great experiences before. Not everyone is aligned on what the company is about, and not everyone wants to be putting in their share of the work, which creates tension for those that work around or under those people. A large shift recently to numbers and sales, which we could avoid (and be just as successful) if the focus stayed on how to connect with students and instructors. There can be a lot of passive aggressive fake niceness in the culture, that bleeds into a whole area. This affects from student on up! Pay is less than desirable, I stay because I am learning so much!
