Pros

Compensation is great. Truly innovative business right in the heart of the worldwide tech conversation. High exposure to high-profile tech leaders. Elaborate celebrations/offsites. The work is interesting and your effort makes an impact, all while being paid well. Great learning opportunity.

Cons

I’ve seen so much yelling, belittling, and bullying in a workplace. Those who are tagged as high-performers speak about being uncertain of their employment status as driving fear is so integral to the leadership style here. In order to grow this quickly, timelines have to be very tight. There is an expectation that you will be available 24/7; you will receive calls at 7am on Saturdays and 1am through the week, even if not customer facing, even if it’s not an expected busy time of the year, even on holidays. Despite the headcount growth, this is not expected to change as one of the recurring talking points in presentations to large groups of the company from founders/executives when asked about WLB has been “you’re not burnt out, you’re just tired.” Despite unlimited PTO, almost no one I’ve known has taken vacation. There were pre-employment planned honeymoons (where they brought their laptops) and occasionally 1 day off PTOs. The one employee who did take a week off was regularly spoken of poorly during that time. People have missed significant family events by working weekends and regularly joke about the hobbies that they once had before they started at CoreWeave that they since have lost.

Pros

The work environment is incredibly fast-paced, offering opportunities for professional growth. I enjoyed leveraging cutting-edge tools and technology, and the experience of working for a company in a state of hyper-growth was both exhilarating and exciting.

Cons

The company culture leans heavily toward a "tech bro" atmosphere that often feels unprofessional. While the environment encourages authenticity, it frequently crosses the line into inappropriateness, such as when a C-suite member used a racially insensitive term during an all-hands meeting. Beyond the problematic culture, the work environment is highly unforgiving. Employees are expected to consistently perform at a high level while working 60–80 hours per week, yet there is zero loyalty from leadership. The company demands total excellence, but even a minor mistake often results in management immediately planning to replace someone, even while they are training their successor.
