Pros
-Great collegial atmosphere -nice people -even in times of stress people do not become testy or nasty -pay is competitive. -management does care about what happens to you and whether you are satisfied with your experience. -analysts are usually not told how their work fits in with the overall strategy of a case (you can initiate and ask, but you will usually not be told without asking).
Cons
-while the people are a pleasure to work with, advancement opportunities are limited; -a lot of repetition in the work -the industry is not exciting and is driven by the legal world's calendar -the work is not exciting most of the time, unless you are at the very top and are writing or helping to write expert reports. -learning curve is not very steep; if you are looking for a challenge you might not find it here.
