Pros

Great coworkers at the community level. Benefits.

Cons

No job security. Company lays off great, hardworking people every year. Just layed off more than half the staff at every installation because they thought they would find better people to work for less pay. Didn't find better so ended up begging employees to stay after first telling them they didn't qualify to interview for #the new jobs# created. The jobs weren't new for employees who gave years of their time making the company look good and taking care of troops. Slapped in the face, many long time employees walked away and didn't fall for the last minute begging. Neighborhood centers had to close because staffing is low. Military families who live on post getting short end of stick. No staff to give customer service. Management, corporate team and HR can't be trusted. Business decisions that impact the lives of the worker bees made willy nilly from behind corporate desks. Many of them have no clue what its like to take care of military families. Relied on us to make them look good. Laying off worker bees every year while sending emails announcing the hiring of some new corporate vice president or director of this or that.

We appreciate the time you took to provide your feedback. Our partnerships are 50-year programs and we need to evolve as the changing needs of our partnerships evolve. One of the goals in our restructure plan was to introduce new roles to elevate our military housing program while also striving to make our programs more sustainable and resilient. The new roles do require different qualifications than prior ones. In addition to new roles, we have changed reporting structures and the way work is divided across positions. In some cases this includes changes to the way a location may be staffed. As we went through this transition, we communicated openly to those impacted along the way, we followed a process that evaluated all applicants, including existing employees, against the elevated qualifications for these new roles. There were employees who did not qualify for an interview. Some of those employees requested a second chance to demonstrate they met the qualifications for these new roles. In response, we created the opportunity for employees to reapply and many did. But it is not lost on us that some good people left the company and while it is always difficult to say goodbye to friends we wouldn’t be a good partner, a great customer service provider, or a great place to work if we did not stay true to our partners’ requirements and goals. We encourage anyone applying for a position with Corvias to be sure to provide an updated resume that reflects their qualifications and to fully respond to the pre-screen questions.

Pros

I’ve had the opportunity to work at Corvias for the past 19 years, and overall, it was the best decision I made in my career. One of the biggest strengths of the company is its commitment to its mission and the communities it serves. Over the years, I’ve seen firsthand how much emphasis is placed on partnerships, sustainability, and making a positive impact, which gives a real sense of purpose to the work. The company has provided consistent opportunities for growth and development. Leadership has been supportive, and there’s a strong culture of collaboration across teams. Many colleagues have been with the company for a long time, which speaks to the positive work environment and sense of loyalty. Work-life balance has been reliably maintained, and the benefits have remained strong and competitive over the years. Overall, I would recommend Corvias to someone looking for a career with a company that values purpose and long-term impact.

Cons

None that I can think of!

Pros

The beginning of my career was in Higher Ed; coming to Corvias was an unexpected but welcome change. Here now 11 years and still love it. The Learn/Change/Grow philosophy here is real. Company founder is an entrepreneur and that culture of being a self-starter at all levels is encouraged and applauded by leadership. Additional Pro's: Remote Work and Flex Office Space in Warwick, RI; Highly Competitive Pay and Bonus Structure; Company Embraces Work/Life Balance; Culture of Caring/Giving Back; Outstanding Benefits Package.

Cons

None I can think of. I'm truly happy here after 11 years.
