Pros

Great opportunities for educational growth. Leading a team and managing a more professional business as it caters to only licensed professionals. You build more personable relationships with your customers. The company has come a long way of staying current and trendy and really listening to the voice of the customer. They are very diverse and show the importance of equality and having respect and acceptance for everyone who is employed. Also the hours are very nice. Not having to get off so late from work.

Cons

Cit definitely can get very overwhelming with the amount of weekly tasks. I think the company should give out more hours to hire on more associates. Maybe ask individual store managers based off the volume of their store and how busy it gets if they feel they could use more help or if they need more full time employees versus multiple part timers. Vice versa. Also just having specific job roles such as a cashier, stocker, etc rather than everyone doing the same job would help as well.

Pros

Easy job Discount Free samples(sometimes) Don’t have to deal with the public because it is only licensed professionals

Cons

You work alone for a few outs Also if you are scheduled Sundays you work alone. Some people come in and steal and it’s scary if you don’t know how to handle the situation. Especially if you are alone Even though you don’t have to deal with the public you do at the same time because some people come in and try to shop even though they don’t have a license.

Pros

the employee discount is solid. the customers are amazing. the dress code is relaxed. most store employees are great to work with.

Cons

corporate is out of touch with the industry and reality. the people who run this company have no idea what their customers actually want. they have insanely high quotas for sales goals, credit card sign ups, and virtual hair show tickets, and they pull you aside if you aren't meeting their unrealistic expectations. they want you to constantly increase store sales and build baskets but they never send enough products to meet the demand. corporate penalizes store employees for not selling products that have been out of stock for weeks. the POS systems, store credit cards, online hair shows, mobile app, customer accounts, store ipads, and phone lines consistently run into technical difficulties. Corporate does nothing to fix the issues. IT and customer service are very rarely helpful, because the glaring issues in the company's technology is far beyond their control. basically they want store employees to sell products that dont exist, run cash registers that dont work, answer phones that dont ring, and use apps/websites that never load, all for insultingly low pay.
