Covenant Health (Tennessee)

Is this your company?

This was the worst place I have ever worked and would NEVER recommend for employment or healthcare - Anonymous employee Covenant Health (Tennessee) Employee Review

Pros

Felt safe as far as security. That's about it. The security guys were nice but the one on the weekend was constantly talking to the nurses and flirting. He was never, ever in his office but could easily be found at any nurses station.

Cons

Management bullying, low pay, discrimination, dirty, not clean. No raises, no advancement, men get vacation, women told no. Write ups, threats of repercussions, retaliations and lots of lies to keep you in line. Won't hire help but push until physical limit is met to do workload of 3,4 plus people. Having to make up for the shortfall they caused by firing and basically forcing people beyond physical means to perform unrealistic workloads. This place is just a glorified sweat shop. Covenant made the situation worse not better. The previous review was very accurate in saying that it's a good ol boys thing going on because the men sat in break rooms and sneaked around watching tv and going to their hiding places while the women were metaphorically "slave beaten" to finish and get all the work done while men sat in supervisors office with the supervisor in air conditioned office while we ran to the time clock to clock out not a minute late or we would have to clock in early the next day to make that minute up. Never ever given an encouraging word or compliment from management. I have personally worked through my breaks and sometimes half through my supper to get my work done so I wouldn't get a write up. And I'm not talking about a couple I mean both breaks at times and for weeks at a time. I was never late, sick, left early, missed a day, had no write ups and was denied a day off. I was taught if you were a hard and responsible worker, it would pay off. Not here. The lazy ones are the ones who get catered too. May God have mercy on your soul if you ever work or have the misfortune of being a patient there. If there was a choice lower than very dissatisfied on the question part, I would choose that. This place is filthy and falling down. Water leaking in through roofs, into the surgery area and having to be pumped out with machines. It's a decayed, dilapidated building with bugs.
