Pros
- Relatively easy job - No day-to-day micromanagement - You’re not in an office - They DO offer benefits to full timers (the merits and value of packages can certainly be debated, my insurance wasn’t great but it’s something)
Cons
- They can be *insane* with work scheduling - as a full timer, I had to fight to get one day off a week - You WILL put a ton of mileage on your personal vehicle - while they try to offset this with a flat payment every month, it will cause your wheels to significantly depreciate in value - be mindful of this - Long commutes on a regular basis - Little flexibility in where you are going/ what your hours are, at the mercy of the scheduling team and your direct case manager - Poor work life balance - expected to get your written reports and video in same day, can lead to some long hours for all of the above reasons
