Pros

The teared analytic work flow is very well designed which makes it very intuitive for EXPERIENCED investigators to perform at the high volume / high fidelity case load. The case load is never ending down time is not a thing. When they hire you for 40 hours you WILL get 40 hours. The administrative support to investigators is amazing. I have not seen better in my 20+ year career in professional investigative services including my time as a federal investigator. The professionalism in the team is amazing. I have a rather high work ethic and the members on my team make me look like a slacker some times. It provides for a great team dynamic. Management is very accommodating and is always checking up on me to make sure I have everything needed to succeed. I imagine there is some sort of quota on team checks because I have never had the kind of friendly management support all the way up to the executives like this before. There has been times I run into a situation where a case could go one way or the other and it takes less than 5 mins to get a manager on a video to call to get a case consult. The case managers and assistant case managers are a little too nice. I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop and the honeymoon period to be over but during team meetings they just as nice to investigators who have been there for 10+ years. There are quite a few people who have been working for 10+ years with this company on the team. That tells me not only do they treat their people right but the job is challenging and rewarding enough to keep people engaged for a long duration. This matters to me a lot because I don't like job hopping. There is a benefits package but I dont qualify for the whole package yet so I will update this once I see it and evaluate it against my government retirement package.

Cons

This job is NOT for new investigators. The case load is challenging even for a veteran investigator. The cases are comprehensive so dont even try to convince yourself that a BA in criminal justice is going to help you here. If you dont understand the investigative process you will never be able to keep up with the requirements. Totally remote which is a positive for people like me but if you want human interaction other than teams calls this is not for you. The caseload is intimidating and they pile up quickly. Which is great for stable work hours, not so great if you cant handle a VERY large case load. Pay starts out on the very low end of the Investigative career spectrum, but when compared to the hours you get it evens out in the end.

In the investigator industry, the volume and type of work can vary due to factors outside of our control, such as client needs, case locations, and seasonal demand. While we cannot eliminate these fluctuations, we are committed to doing everything we can to keep our investigators working consistently. This includes securing new clients, maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, and delivering high-quality results that generate additional opportunities. Our goal is to minimize downtime and create as much stability as possible in an inherently variable industry. We genuinely value constructive feedback, as it helps us grow and improve. We love hearing that the culture we have created has been helpful and supportive.

Pros

The flexibility to work from home and have some say over your work hours is something that has kept me at the company. This is the benefit that I use to justify the cons.

Cons

The pay structure is way below averages for this line of work. Merit increases are considered annually, but have fallen far behind inflation thus far. PTO is less than what I've experienced in other similar positions. Ongoing training is sparse and seems to create time-intensive problems that would be more efficiently handled with regular training updates. The company makes no contributions to health insurance premiums, which for people like me, means that half my paycheck is gone before I see it just to cover premiums for myself and my son.
