Pros

Great co-workers. Everyone is doing the work of people with double the experience for half the pay. People make a sincere effort to help each other. If you are new to development, this place will give you plenty of challenges and grow you (but NOT your pay) quickly. Get your teeth cut then get out.

Cons

The COO comes from a marketing background and it shows. Upper Management seems to think that if we just say everything's great it can be willed into existence. The pay is low, they just cut benefits and opened a new slick campus. Engineering is already under-resourced and is about to really hemmorage talent because they threw remote employees over. Another annoying habit is when big mistakes are made (they closed a whole office the same week a Fortune article about us stressing 'in person collaboration' came out) is someone will swoop in with a wall of text that is straight out of a PR handbook and never really seems sincere. One time a husband and wife team who were both C-Suite made a joke of giving away random junk from their basement as a fun activity for employees to participate in. HR doesn't care about employees. If you have an issue backchannel privately with your fellow workers becuase they're only interested in protecting the company.

First, let me say I appreciate your candor and feedback while sharing your experience. It’s never easy to hear a tough critique, but we’re grateful to receive it and learn from it. CoverMyMeds, like many other companies that began as a startup, has seen its fair share of successes and challenges from rapid growth. As you mentioned, employees here can learn a lot very quickly and participate in very cool projects that help people get the medicine they need to live healthier lives. I’m very proud of our talented team members. They continue to make an incredible impact on healthcare each day. We also know there are many things we could do much better in terms of work processes, policies and procedures. We must continue evolving as the world and workplace evolve around us. Our core values have always been our compass and they continue to guide how we conduct ourselves with each other, our customers and our patients. We must hold each other accountable to those standards of inclusion, respect and support. I truly believe we have leaders who care deeply about our employees and make decisions with their needs in mind. Our culture and business can only thrive if we work together to make it successful. All of our staff, whether in-office or remote, are extremely important to us! We're committed to working and engaging in a hybrid fashion. The last year-and-a-half has proven we can do it. We hope you’ll be our partner on the journey to make it even better. If I can be of service to you, now or in the future, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me. My ears are always ready to listen. —Lachandra Baker, Senior Manager, Employee Engagement

Pros

Remote opportunities, great networking, fast paced environment

Cons

There is minimal investment in employee development, priorities shift constantly, and there is little transparency into management-level decisions. Compensation is below market rates, making it difficult to feel valued for the work being done. Recent organizational changes have created a culture of uncertainty and blame, where finger-pointing has become increasingly common. The work environment has changed dramatically over the past year, and what was once a collaborative atmosphere now feels discouraging. It’s genuinely difficult to feel motivated to even log in each day.
