Pros

The employee base is the best around. The people I work with are open, empathetic, and passionate about driving the work happening here forward.

Cons

Recent changes regarding a merger with other McKesson subsidiaries, changes to the CoverMyMeds benefit structure, and lack of transparency around these changes has led many senior leaders and rank and file employees to leave the company or begin looking. That employee base I came to love is shrinking by the day. There is a severe disconnect between C-suite executives and the average employee. Conversations during all-hands/all-staffs are getting borderline offensive because the disconnect is so vast. To the point where rank and file employees are backchanneling their frustrations and legitimate concerns with their peers for fear of being labeled by others throughout the company. The average employee is underpaid and often, overworked. There is an ongoing salary audit for our company (which many on our leadership team have mentioned over the last several months), but salary bands for every position are not common knowledge or reviewable by the average employee. And it's unclear when that will happen if it all. Overall, many aspects that made CoverMyMeds a premier workplace in the greater Columbus area seem to be fading away. It makes me incredibly nervous about the future here.

CoverMyMeds Response

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. It’s helpful to know what our employees feel we’re doing well and where we have an opportunity to improve. I can assure you that all levels of leadership are listening and committed to working with you to continue making CoverMyMeds your best place to work and grow. As you know, we’ve gone through a big unification, which brought some changes to our organization. These changes are intended to help provide a cohesive experience for all of our employees, our customers and the patients we collectively serve. We’ll continue to be transparent about what’s changing and explain why. If you have questions about any changes that are being made, please set up time to meet with me, or one of our awesome HR business partners. The people at CoverMyMeds are one of the many remarkable things that drew me to this organization and I’m grateful each day to work alongside such amazing people. While a small number of employees have decided to pursue other opportunities (and we sincerely wish them success in the next chapters of their professional journey), the truth is the majority of our team remains committed to helping people get the medicine they need to live healthier lives. If you ever want to reach out to continue this dialogue or share more specific feedback on the above, my door is always open. – Kim Avery, VP, Patient Services

Pros

Remote opportunities, great networking, fast paced environment

Cons

There is minimal investment in employee development, priorities shift constantly, and there is little transparency into management-level decisions. Compensation is below market rates, making it difficult to feel valued for the work being done. Recent organizational changes have created a culture of uncertainty and blame, where finger-pointing has become increasingly common. The work environment has changed dramatically over the past year, and what was once a collaborative atmosphere now feels discouraging. It’s genuinely difficult to feel motivated to even log in each day.
