401k matching, 401k contributions, Salary, Health benefits, Gym.

Cons

*They spy on you. *They ignore the security concerns that come with other people being able to remote on to your computer remotely and control or observe what you are doing. They will tell you it's so if something goes wrong they will be able to fix it. However if that were really the only case they wouldn't add every profile to hide the fact that they're there. Think about that for a second. If they want to smear your name for whatever reason or perhaps steal your password keychain or slow your success all they need to do is remote on to your machine as you and do some stupid stuff. You're naive if you think there's no one there like that. My machine settings and work done would magically change everyday constantly setting me back. Never thought Cox would have this kind of problem. I never experienced anything like that in the 10+ years build software until coming there. I stayed to get to the bottom of it. *At Dealshield ( a company within cox) one look at their dynamodb and it's clear the software consuming that data must be equally as jacked up. They are terrified of actual engineers within cox to audit that codebase given how long it’s taken them to get where they are. This is why they keep development offshore. Warning: they’ll suppress, retaliate and, smear against those who do. *They retaliate 100% for bringing up security concerns and even more so when bringing up security concerns through the proper channels. They will call you paranoid attempt to discredit and, gaslight you. Don't believe their 0 tolerance for retaliating I know first hand they won't do anything about it. *They have one contractor in charge of all the macs security. I suspect they do this so they aren't held responsible for the security lapses which they are well aware of now. A Interesting Fact: *They knew of the coming of the economic crisis that we're in today 10 months ago. They didn't know exact date or reason for collapse, only that it was imminent. They spoke to this every week in the tech meeting. Everything I mentioned in here is 100% true, honest and fair. It’s not the worst of it either. AOMS

Pros

Benefits are good. PTO Day 1.

Cons

No advancement opportunity. They claim they hire internally, but they don't seem to adhere to that. Out of nowhere, hours were cut from 40 hours to 32 for our particular shift due to "business needs". However it seems like we are rarely caught up at the end of the night. The same position on another shift did not lose nearly as many hours. Then, there was a location wide meeting where they bragged about record sales and record profits. Seems pretty insensitive to do in front of employees who lost over 20% of their pay. The manager comes off as completely harsh and rude. When you fill out a survey stating facts, they are met with a dismissive tone followed by, "you know this is not true". Training is non existent. Other underpaid employees have to train you so it's like a game of telephone where the training contains just a little less information or a little more incorrect information each time. Pay for other positions in the organization is below average. When applying for those positions internally, they want to base pay on your current role instead of based on qualifications for the job being offered. There is a pay range listed for jobs, don't expect to get anywhere near the top and you are LUCKY to see the middle of that range. Pay raises are not anywhere near inflation rates, so if you stay more than a year you are losing money.
