Pros

Unlimited paid time off, fair benefits, annual bonus.

Cons

Generally speaking, Scrum Masters are just told how and what to do. Open discussion is frowned upon. I have seen many Scrum Masters battered by the teams and ill equipped product owners. Middle management leads authoritatively, just do what you are told if you want to keep your job. Most managers are not skilled or equipped to lead people or create true collaboration and autonomy. The effort and focus is on metrics - no one brings team members together for collaboration or team building even when asked. But we meet regularly to review metrics. Leaders show general mistrust of employees and assume ill will of others showing their emotional immaturity and micromanaging the employees. Leading agility efforts is a farce if you do not allow the employees to make their own processes and handle task management. There is a lot of narcissism. Challenging the status quo is unacceptable. I am sorry that I attempted to persuade people into being an open and collaborate environment because I have paid the price. Diversity is a huge problem for this day and age, I am shocked. There are many internal organizations that are more than 90% male, also lacking black employees. Black male leaders are sparse. Women leaders (black and white) are sparse. I am ashamed to tell others how I am treated as an employee and I wake up with knots in my stomach each work day. It is a "say yes" environment. If you are trying to do the right thing and help the company to grow into new ways of working, this is not the place for you.

Thank you for providing your feedback- we appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. We take pride in creating diverse and inclusive environments and certainly value what you’re sharing here. We are always seeking to understand how we can improve. Creating a culture where every person is respected, included and heard is central to what we do, and we will absolutely pass your feedback along to our internal teams. In the meantime, we recommend setting up time with your manager and/or mentor to discuss these concerns. Thank you again for taking the time to write this review, and for your contributions at Cox.

Great work life balance, unlimited pto

Pros

Benefits are good. PTO Day 1.

Cons

No advancement opportunity. They claim they hire internally, but they don't seem to adhere to that. Out of nowhere, hours were cut from 40 hours to 32 for our particular shift due to "business needs". However it seems like we are rarely caught up at the end of the night. The same position on another shift did not lose nearly as many hours. Then, there was a location wide meeting where they bragged about record sales and record profits. Seems pretty insensitive to do in front of employees who lost over 20% of their pay. The manager comes off as completely harsh and rude. When you fill out a survey stating facts, they are met with a dismissive tone followed by, "you know this is not true". Training is non existent. Other underpaid employees have to train you so it's like a game of telephone where the training contains just a little less information or a little more incorrect information each time. Pay for other positions in the organization is below average. When applying for those positions internally, they want to base pay on your current role instead of based on qualifications for the job being offered. There is a pay range listed for jobs, don't expect to get anywhere near the top and you are LUCKY to see the middle of that range. Pay raises are not anywhere near inflation rates, so if you stay more than a year you are losing money.
