Pros

It's a recognized brand, dealers either love or hate

Cons

My experience with this company wasn't all bad but did not leave me with a positive perception. Middle management is woefully inadequate and quick to pass the blame onto its subordinates. In my opinion, so many people I interacted with in middle management were not up to the task.. My AVP was terrible and did not deserve the position they occupied. Blunder after blunder cost us sales, and missed goals, which then starts up the PIP process for so many people. They do not acknowledge their poor decision-making that affects their salespeople's ability to attain their goals. Certainly do not try to take your grievances to human resources, this will just accelerate and exacerbate your issues with management. My experience- Human resources exists to insulate the company from lawsuits and support management. Quite frankly I found it to be the biggest joke of a department in the entire company. Also they seem to have this perception of their corporate culture that is completely 180 from their practices and implementation. And you can tell when they are preparing for a large organizational shift or reduction in force. Sometimes six months to a year before they plan to implement the changes they start going through this rigorous "we love our employees" culture and "we want to make sure you understand how to navigate other opportunities for advancement in the company to make the most of your potential. Usually, after you get this kind of stuff there are mass layoffs. The company is going through another round of reorganization which it does every five to six years. When it does this the company makes everyone do the proverbial I want to keep my job dance and reapply for other positions across the company. And this organization is notorious for trimming the fat on middle management every time it has a round of layoffs. So what you get are managers that probably are awesome individuals outside of work, or up until the point they are afraid for their jobs. But they turn into very slimy manipulative liars, they do anything they can to cover their butt, and integrity/honesty just goes right in the trash can. Also I notice how so many of the positive reviews here are just ambiguous one statements responses like -“Great people in the business from top to bottom. Or ” Nothing to add here and, “The company is a great place to be. Yeah we were all born yesterday right.. Which I found to be a common theme amongst the company. Constantly insulting your intelligence with half-cocked manipulation tactics that everyone can see through. If they would just be honest they would get a lot more engagement from people. It's an organization of automotive salespeople, you're not going to manipulate them, they've seen this stuff before. I also find it interesting that so many people I witnessed getting laid off were very tenured individuals who were approaching retirement.

Pros

Competitive pay, benefits and bonuses.

Cons

It is a great company and as such there exists over communication; however, I’m not sure how they get past “too much” communication.

Pros

Benefits are good. PTO Day 1.

Cons

No advancement opportunity. They claim they hire internally, but they don't seem to adhere to that. Out of nowhere, hours were cut from 40 hours to 32 for our particular shift due to "business needs". However it seems like we are rarely caught up at the end of the night. The same position on another shift did not lose nearly as many hours. Then, there was a location wide meeting where they bragged about record sales and record profits. Seems pretty insensitive to do in front of employees who lost over 20% of their pay. The manager comes off as completely harsh and rude. When you fill out a survey stating facts, they are met with a dismissive tone followed by, "you know this is not true". Training is non existent. Other underpaid employees have to train you so it's like a game of telephone where the training contains just a little less information or a little more incorrect information each time. Pay for other positions in the organization is below average. When applying for those positions internally, they want to base pay on your current role instead of based on qualifications for the job being offered. There is a pay range listed for jobs, don't expect to get anywhere near the top and you are LUCKY to see the middle of that range. Pay raises are not anywhere near inflation rates, so if you stay more than a year you are losing money.
