Pros

Local leadership earns a solid B plus. They are supportive, approachable, and generally on point. The benefits are strong and the pay is above average for the industry. One of the biggest highlights is the people. Coworkers really make the job enjoyable. Time flies when you are working with a solid crew, doing something meaningful, and having fun while doing it. Perks like free internet and TV including all premium packages, a company vehicle, provided tools, and a uniform allowance all go a long way in making the job comfortable and sustainable. Overall, I truly wish I could have stayed longer. If the opportunity to return ever comes around, I would be happy to come back.

Cons

Executive leadership, on the other hand, needs a complete overhaul. There is a clear disconnect at the top that affects long term direction. I would have liked to see more aggressive competition, especially with fiber rollout, modernized field equipment, and streamlined product offerings to stay sharp in the market.

Hi, thank you for sharing a review! We're glad to know that you enjoy the flexibility, work-life balance and employee benefits that a career at Cox offers, and that you would recommend Cox as an employer. Cox's footprint and cross-industry impact do frequently necessitate agility with change, but we strive to offer a workplace experience that has the stability of a large company with the friendly community and innovation culture of a startup. And while our impact continues to grow, our values and mission remain the same: across our family of businesses, we're building a better future. We hope you feel that to be the case.

Pros

Great work/life balance, culture and benefits. Work from home. Unlimited PTO.

Cons

Merging with Charter this year. If I still have a job after the merger, I'll be losing unlimited PTO, WFH, culture and who knows about work/life balance. Some may be asked to move to CT. At the end of 2024 the company offered a generous VSP. Knowing the upcoming severance packages we may be offered by Charter, some of us feel betrayed.
