Pros

Cox is a privately owned, employee-focused company. They are flexible with schedules and a promoter of things like teleworking. Employees at Cox are generally happy and tend to stay with the company for many years. (This is both a pro and a con.)

Cons

Limited ability to move up, even for the highest performers. The company is in the process of centralizing and shifting to a flattened and corporate-led environment, but unfortunately corporate is physically removed from the reality of running the business (they are based in ATL where Cox services are not available and there are no call centers, technicians, etc.). This creates challenges with strategy and execution, as well as communication.
