Pros

I worked at COX from home for over 11 years. Working from home comes with disadvantages and being overlooked for promotion. I received a merit increase each year. I topped out at the pay scale for call center employees and was fine until...

Cons

Tenured Call Center employees like myself reach the maximum pay range due to annual merit increases. The Company began trimming higher-ups and laid off top wage earners so that younger kids can be hired do the job at far less pay I and 4 other tenured employees were laid off for questionable reasons and the State made COX pay for unemployment wages. I was not offered a severance package. The company seems to be greedy in this way and cuts all benefits the day your are laid off so you are suddenly uninsured and left in the cold.

Pros

Strong compensation and benefits, a genuinely collaborative culture, and real opportunities for advancement and professional growth. Smart, supportive colleagues and meaningful exposure to large-scale enterprise programs.

Cons

Recent leadership changes have shifted the culture, and decision-making increasingly favors established insiders over the best ideas. Aging systems and infrastructure can lag behind, leaving limited appetite for innovation and modernization.
