Pros

You'll always have a speedy laptop and any any other tools needed to complete your work. Great benefits with a fully funded pension plan and retiree healthcare package. Competitive pay. Great people and relaxed environment. A place where you actually want to come and work.
Cons
Depending on your department, upward growth becomes a challenge. This may not be the case in every department but I've seen mid level positions recruited from outside when fully competent, knowledgable and capable people already exist within the department.
