They're private so they don't mind you working on high-level projects, even as an intern, knowing that they might miss a "deadline" once you leave and someone needs retraining on it.

I prefer public companies because I majored in finance. Also, you'd have to really like the automotive industry to like what I did. I worked in the Cox Automotive division.
