Pros

Generally speaking, working in the field with customers and prospects in the heavy duty trucking industry is an enjoyable experience.

Cons

Revenue increase goals are wildly unrealistic. Local management is problematic, and regional management is based on the Martinet model. Training is incidental at best, and resources/tools are limited. Management will take extra steps to avoid paying commissions due. Lack of accountability throughout the organization compromises productivity.

Thank you for taking the time to voice your frustrations. While you may have felt some of the sales goals you had while you were working for us were "wildly unrealistic," I can assure you that the growth expectations are similar for all of our sales team, and are being exceeded by most of our sales executives. Our commission plan pays for performance, so I can see where if you felt like the revenue goals were unrealistic, you wouldn't be earning the commissions you hoped. Our newly developed training team is in the field conducting technical and H/R training, and soon will be working with our sales teams on sales training. Our employees are our most valuable asset. We are constantly looking for ways to better challenge, develop, and serve each of our over 800 team members. I wish you the best in your future endeavors. Mike Dickinson

Pros

You will appreciate the people in your life who are good honest people more because of how poorly you will be treated.

Cons

The management in the NY market is terrible. If you want to use PTO that has been approved it depends on if the manager feels like it or not. Your significant other is going to be out of work for serious surgery and you want to use PTO so that you can pay your bills? Well too bad your manager didnt feel like it good luck with that late fee. Tell your manager a family member died unexpextedly and horrifically? Youll hear its part of life happens to everyone and a sigh because you are taking time off for a funeral. Expecting company supplied tools to be company supplied? Well quit being cheap is what my manager said to me over a 1200$ purchase. You have to get approval from your manager? Maybe he will get back to you maybe he will ignore you for an entire month. Hired for first shift but will be expected to work into the night and when you set a boundary that you weren't hired to work at night you'll be told that maybe you aren't the right fit for this job. If you think the amount of PTO in the job posting looks nice or the company supplied uniforms, laundering service, bonuses, or career development, company discounts well just keep scrolling because they're not telling the truth atleast for NY employees who arent over at their managers house for dinner. Cons include the management in NY.
