Pros

The culture at Crescent Bank is fine. It's apparent through the various health/wellness drives, the wellness program, etc that they genuinely care for their employees. I had a sexual harassment grievance that was addressed quickly and professionally. Regardless of what goes on in my specific department I do feel that overall CBT is a great company to work for. Like anything else, your mileage may vary depending on your specific circumstances with your supervisor/manager as most of your daily life is subjected to their at times capricious whims. Generous time off policies that include sick leave, vacation, and personal time. Other employees are generally kind and hard-working, but like anywhere else, you do get some apathetic clock riders that can be annoying to deal with. They are also big on community outreach and allow each employee 1 paid day per year for volunteerism. There are lots of training and education opportunities, including webinars, management coaching, etc.

Cons

Slow to promote, wages are a bit lower here than comparable positions elsewhere. Personal medical insurance is affordable but somewhat limited in coverage. Having your family covered under your work plan is astronomically expensive. Employee retention is good in some spots, but top talent might find it easy to make more money elsewhere. The culture does have some issues with favoritism (for instance, a new employee that was a favorite of the manager came in at a level III for a position when the individual is clearly not experienced with the work). The board is comprised almost entirely of men, however, women and people of color do find good representation in upper management.

Pros

Learning opportunities were definitely there

Cons

Leadership in IT condensed to one person for multiple teams and she has a high turn over rate since she started.
