Fine place to work until you have any issues - Software Engineer Crestron Electronics Employee Review

Pros

Offer many nice side benefits. Top company in the industry, which allows you to play with some of the best hardware in the industry.

Cons

Pay is well below average, and highly dependent on whatever your previous salary was from where ever you came from. HR has stated they don't hire unless they can find out your previous salary. Once you reach a certain level, mobility stops. Most of the non standard benefits (other than medical etc, like gym and employee appreciation events) are centered around keeping you at work longer and justifying lower than average industry salaries. If you have any issues with your supervisors, you're out of luck. HR won't help, and higher management will openly tell you they are aware and don't care. HR is useless as an employee advocate, and will openly lie to you.

Pros

Relaxed. Management understands traditional AV industry is saturated and is trying hard to pivot the company into new direction. Whether it will work or not is to be seen.

Cons

This place really needs to re-evaluate how they hire and retain engineers. Across all disciplines, there are many senior level engineers who have no idea what they are doing. Some lack such basic engineering skills and knowledge which makes one wonder if they had proper higher level education or lied about their past career experiences on their resume. Most of them are genuinely nice people, but they are really dragging down productivity.
