Pros
Croda's Graduate Scheme is a great scheme to be on. The structure of the graduate scheme is one where you carry out three, nine month placements, as a technical or three one year placements as an engineer. Having come out of University with a degree in Forensic Chemistry, BSc, I thought that i would like to work in the labs, but after my first placement I quickly found that I did not enjoy working in the labs. Therefore I was able to tailor the rest of the scheme to commercial/corporate placements.
Cons
There is some to little choice as to where your next placement is going to be. You can state whether you want to work abroad or in the UK and suggest which placement you would want to work in, but then thereafter it is up to HR and the Exec board.
