Pros
Systems were pretty good. A lot of growth opportunity in Mfg, and Branch. Pay is solid. 40 hours, no more. They support many families and take care of a lot of communities. Safety was paramount in manufacturing, and you have to respect that. Crown makes a quality, long lasting product, and their commitment to that branding is exceptional.
Cons
The culture consisted of discipline for everything an employee did not do right. This was stifling, and ultimately resulted in resentment toward management. No promotion of coaching in some facilities. $180 bi-weekly for an HSA plan with a $4k deductible...pretty bad. No profit sharing or bonuses. No real consistent aim communicated down from senior leadership. Many processes and leaders just seemed that they were stuck in the 1980's. A lot of Fat in this place, and problems are just kicked down the road. Rather than swiftly terminating someone who is inept or is hurting the culture, the company just pushes the problems around the tri-county area.
