I worked as an Operations Specialist at Crum & Forster. I was mostly happy working here. Management was not the best. - Operations Specialist Crum & Forster Employee Review

Pros

My coworkers were great and I learned how to multitask while having very high stress deadlines. I also learned a lot about the insurance field while having no prior experience before working here.

Cons

The worst part about working here was the upper level management. They did not appreciate the employees AT ALL. They will lay you off with no notice at all. They let one employee go to go was with the company for over 25 years for no reason other than to decrease the staffing. Also, in my experience, they could care less about the work you put in or if you have a college education. There is very little room for advancement and even less room for job security and the low pay was not worth the stress level. Glad I got out while I did.

Pros

Company culture is great. There are weekly bocce and cornhole games for employees to break up their work days.

Cons

The ERM team sits in the C-suite area, which can be taken as a good or bad thing. Just very separated from 90% of the employees.
