The company tries to roll out initiatives and improve the culture, but there can be no improvement since the toxic culture comes from the very top. The CEO gives lip service to things like diversity, work/life balance and things like that, but his actions show that he actually doesn't care about any of it. He's created an atmosphere of fear and backstabbing and has surrounded himself with yes-men (and women) who are eager to do his bidding and will throw anyone under the bus to do it. Overpaid VPs do jobs that no one can explain. Meanwhile, the employees actually doing the work are either laid off or are leaving for greener pastures. Everyone is squeezed and forced to work long hours with no recognition or appreciation. In fact, the harder we work, the harder we're driven by management.
