Pros

Overall this is a friendly and comfortable place to work. 1. Salary and bonus is good, on par if not slightly higher than other firms. 2. Benefits are above average. 3. People are great for the most part. 4. This is a company for a mid to upper level candidates.

Cons

1. Office management. Offices tend to operate individually which in theory is good but it allows bad managers to flourish as long as profits are made. West coast less so but DC and SC office have particularly high staff turnover due to bad management. 2. Structure is too layered. Too many VPs and directors with too many egos. Very top heavy. 3. Hiring structure seems to be hyper focused on "superstars" from other firms, sometimes pouching clients along the way. Some of these have poor management and poor technical skill sets. A lot of Brits are being hired to exec levels but they struggle as have no experience in the US methodologies, and it shows. 4. Resistance to change. A lot of the established executive level are very resistant to any changes, constructive criticism, feedback and suggestions for improvement. 5. Heavy focus on billable time. They push for 40 to 50+ billable hours per week so there is inevitably some fudging of time entry. Ghost billing by execs is fairly prevalent. Therefore a lot of the utilization metrics are most likely false.

Pros

Gained hands-on hardware and IT support experience. Some solid coworkers who were genuinely helpful and supportive.

Cons

Management felt rigid, low-trust, and inconsistent in how conduct was handled. Coworkers confided in me about troubling behavior from a manager — including repeatedly pressuring a female coworker to move in with him, and pressuring another coworker who was recovering from an accident-related disability to return to work early. Rather than facing consequences, that manager was promoted to a lead role a few months later. Separately, after raising a legitimate concern to HR about a coworker's conduct, I found myself under increased scrutiny shortly after, which felt retaliatory rather than performance-based. The hypocrisy was hard to ignore: employees who raise concerns get punished, while those who cause harm get promoted. The company is also being acquired (Leonard Green & Partners), adding further uncertainty.
