Pros

- Solid graduate/placement programme giving young people a nice start in the professional world - Helpful and professionally developing environment provided you click with the manager and immediate coworkers - Good system of KPIs where you can see what you're doing well and what you can improve - Opportunity at getting various experience in different departments though cross functional projects

Cons

- Extremely political. Your success depends on which butt you're kissing and how well you're kissing it. I sometimes had to do that even if every fibre in my body screamed NO. So please be aware of office politics there. - The only 'diversity' that matters there is that of appearances/gender/colour and NOT diversity of opinions. It's ironic how the same people that keep going about 'diversity' hold the same dopy ideas about everything ;) The diversity training rather propagandist and militant. Don't you dare questioning the dogma! Just tune out. - Some people got hired because of being female. Shouldn't it be about how you are and what you can rather than your biology? Affirmative action might not yield the best results. - Big boys club as someone said before. Again it's about how likeable you are and not how good you are. Helps if you're a guy. - Word of warning for (young) fresh female employees: beware of certain individuals only seeking a certain kind of gratification. Some clearly are in for a meat hunt. Don't get involved under any circumstances. Greasy! - Rampant gossiping, some really try getting their nose in your business. Yes, and walking out on you as you enter the restroom is very professional. - Condescending and patronising attitude and big egos from some members of management. Some don't acknowledge you, presumably because your not important enough. Although there are some really great ones! - Pressure for American social norms, big push to be an extrovert. Goes back to the supposed 'diversity'. If you don't socialise much and just focus on work, there must be something wrong with you. So you end up faking it every day... - Location is abysmal. Party animals won't be comfortable with a limited nightlife. In addition, due to the remote locations it feels like you're living on a desert island where you see the same people day in and day out both at work and outside. You can get sick of that very very soon. - Disconnection from manager and lack of workload can make you feel lethargic. - Slow processes, backward IT systems which is surprising for a large organisation like this. - Salary behind competition.

Pros

You get paid for doing OT on weekends at the plant I work at now If you are in a shift that has less staffing you might earn more money on weekends as you will not have anyone to rotate with or less people to rotate with I am happy to have a manager who understands I have a lot of work pressure

Cons

If you are in a shift that has less staffing you will have a lot of work to do. For me the con is lots of work pressure in the shift I work. I think I do the work of atleast 2 people and sometimes even more. First shift will have people to rotate on weekends. Unfortunately 2nd shift doesn't have people to rotate with. We end up working every weekend but have same number of vacation days. People in 2nd can get there vacation days used up before other shifts. But still I would say its a good company considering I work in a manufacturing facility.
