Pros

Technology has provided flexibility in location of work. It is easy to work in virtual teams where necessary. It is a global company which provides an opportunity to experience business on a global stage. Innovative engineering has allowed the company to stay current and relevant in a challenging environment.

Cons

Senior management is completely out of touch with the business. IT Project work is driven solely by timeline, not by business need and complexity; with the concessions always being made on quality in order to meet deadlines. The end result is a sloppy environment that is always at least a step behind in its agility to meet changing business needs. The trend toward offshoring even project management is putting the company at a long term disadvantage in terms of its institutional knowledge. Very little attention paid to the employee in the trenches. Advancement is predicated on whether or not you have jumped through the hoops that they see as relevant. Outside of the Six Sigma framework, your successes go completely unnoticed. To that end; if you complete Six Sigma projects (administrative), you will be heralded a hero even if the projects themselves are largely unsuccessful in the long run. There is no follow up on the projects. Thus, the company claims savings that it truly has not realized. Smoke and mirrors is the predominant theme.

Pros

Work from home, flexibility, paternal leave policy, pension plan

Cons

Pay is low and has not kept up with inflation. Leadership is only DEI hires, and they do not seem to understand the actual work being done. They are making life miserable for employees by adding unnecessary KPI's and performance tracking to make a name for themselves within the senior leadership. No loyalty for employees, they will let you go in the blink of an eye if the business struggles.
