Pros

Cummins is a great company to work with. I can't even list all the pros. I came in at a middle managerial role. I had a great boss and boss's boss. Open communication. High visibility. They take appraisals and reviews very seriously. Management makes every effort possible to ensure that leaders are developed and also to accomodate your interests. Creativity and initiative is encouraged/required. Great environment. Friendly , diverse and very inclusive. You will find people of so many different nationality. Its also very results driven and process oriented. Six Sigma is a way of life. Pay is good-above market usually. Great work life balance. They truly treat employees as owners. I left because I was leaving the country and relocating, and positions that I was looking for didn't seem available there. Good training, they are ahead of the curve in OD systems and policies.

Cons

Location. Too process oriented sometimes-primarily because of the size of the company. A lot depends upon your manager and department. Getting things done takes forever. Work gets mundane and boring- because we are a conservative manufacturing firm. Too procedural. We felt that the number of forms we had to fill up to accomplish a simple task took up as much time as the job itself. Too many metrics to meet -sometimes conflicting goals. PS: the 'we' was not intentional- but that's the thing about Cummins. You will always feel like its a family company.

Pros

Work from home, flexibility, paternal leave policy, pension plan

Cons

Pay is low and has not kept up with inflation. Leadership is only DEI hires, and they do not seem to understand the actual work being done. They are making life miserable for employees by adding unnecessary KPI's and performance tracking to make a name for themselves within the senior leadership. No loyalty for employees, they will let you go in the blink of an eye if the business struggles.
