Pros

It's a good place to start your career and learn your way into the business since no one seems to know what they're doing, and whatever get-arounds that you can make now become the de facto standard.

Cons

You never get any recognition for those "improvements" that you make. My biggest regret is having boomeranged back in there, only to get laid off. You get seasonal tides in workload, and it will burn you out while getting nagged for being lenient in the off-season. Having worked as a non-engineer among engineers, the lack of any recognition nor culture is rough. Karens in the company throwing blames at each other is appalling.

Pros

They do a great job at selling you the company. Every promise, every line they say make you think you are about to make a real difference not only for Members and Employers but also for the company itself. Well… you are very wrong.

Cons

This is by far the most unhealthy company I have ever worked for. For being a Health Insurance Company, outside of actually providing Insurance, there are no benefits to working here. You are micromanaged, penalized and harassed for having the audacity to want to use PTO, Bereavement, FMLA etc. and don’t you dare to question Policies and Procedures to which you absolutely have no access to by the way - whatever your Manager and HR tells you, goes. They hate to actually promote someone based on their actual work experience or work ethic, but more so promote friends and family regardless of if they are a good fit for the position. Don’t even bother trying to apply from within to change departments because, you as already an established employee, will be ghosted by your own employer. Depending on your position with the company, you also have absolutely no Work/Life balance. Truly, I think the only people that actually have this, are Senior Leadership and up since they seem to somehow always be OOO or leave early.
