Pros
(Applies to headquarters, was there for 2 years...) - I learned a lot technically. Kinda felt like cramming for a final the entire time.. in a good way. - Forward-thinking technology goals - Beautiful and new office space -- good view, lots of natural light, nice cafe area - Very young company -- fresh ideas, attractive women, lots of hipsters, etc. - Lots of fun stuff to do in the area, either during lunch and after work - DC metro system recently finished metro line with a stop right at office Overall, I would recommend *IF AND ONLY IF* you are a new developer looking to advance your technical skillset, love the DC area, and are satisfied with the pay
Cons
- They burn you out like crazy. "Did a good job on that new feature last week? Good! Here's 3 features to do in half a week." Level of attrition proves this. - Most of codebase is total mess, and there is zero intervention/concern from upper management or upper tech people - Had some bad experiences interacting with the outsourced tech people - Still pretty old school when it comes to flexible work hours, remote work, manner of review/promotion systems, etc. - Commute/traffic
